In 1979, Russia invaded Afghanistan.  The Afghans, using donkeys, RPGs and Kalashnikovs, more than held their own against a force of one hundred thousand fully equipped Russian troops backed by Mil Mi-24 attack helicopters.

The conflict radicalized and trained a whole generation of Arab militants.

With the U.S. supplying Stinger Missiles, the tide of the battle turned in favor of the Afghans.  In 1988, al Qaeda was established to take the jihad to other parts of the globe.

The Soviets withdrew in 1989.  Less than a year later, Saddam invaded Kuwait.

The U.S. quickly began to form a coalition.

Bin Laden and al-Qaeda told the American led coalition that he would fight Saddam’s forces and expel Iraq from Kuwait.  That the Middle East was holy ground and infidels should not set foot there.

The first Gulf War began on august 2, 1990 and ended on February 28th, 1991.

Mossad, the Israeli secret service, told the FBI two months before 9/11 that several hundred terrorists had entered the U.S. and that a major operation was planed in the next two months.   That was in July of  2001.  The warning was ignored.

Less than 2 months later, 9/11 occurred.

Of course the great majority of the 9/11 terrorists came from Saudi Arabia; that was, in fact. Osama bin Laden‘s home.

The point is there is a direct, irrefutable line of events that led to 9/11 and they were known to the world well before the event took place.

The U.S. ignored the dire warnings, from a country and a group that had defeated one hundred and eight thousand elite Russian soldiers.  Killing fifteen thousand and wounding thirty-five thousand.

There could not have been a more clear warning from a group with the skills and the might to carry out their threat.
