For 99% of the time man has been on earth, he not only survived, but also evolved on a diet provided by nature, not an unnatural one devised by the intervention of people seeking to feed the most people with the least work and cost.  The Paleolithic people (from one million years B.C. to 12,000 B.C.) lived free of the major diseases that affect so many of us today, such as osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and hypertension.  They were the fittest, strongest people to ever roam the planet.  The men were 6’2”, the women 5’10”.  In the course of 5,000 years (beginning 12,000 years ago), the Agricultural Revolutions converted us from hunter-gatherers to farmers, to people totally dependent upon grains and cow’s milk *human’s are the only creature that drinks the milk of another mammal. The men shrunk to 5’8” and women to 5’4”.  Their brains shrunk by 30%.

The rules

  1. In 1900, farmers began hybridizing fruit. Most fruit now has 50% less fiber and 50% more sugar.  You are basically eating a sugar ball.  Alternative, berries are hybridized to a lesser extent.  Make fruit a maximum of 5% of your diet.
  1. Never eat anything (except meat and fish) that needs to be cooked first (beans, legumes, etc.)
  1. Make protein 35% of calories. Fish or meat , not tofu.   Caveat: only eat meat IF it is free-ranging, organically grown.  If you cannot, focus on fish, or organic chicken
  1. In 1950, the government began fluoridating the water.  A side effect of fluoridation is that it slows the metabolism.  That makes it almost impossible to lose weight (and keep it off).
  1. In order to lose weight and keep it off you must increase your metabolism to that of a thin person. To do that, drink a half cup of organic black coffee right after breakfast.  Drink a second half cup at 10.00.am. (a half hour before your morning sweet tooth kicks in).  Drink a third cup of organic black coffee right after lunch.  Drink a forth half cup of organic coffee at 2;30 p.m., a half hour before your last half cup of black coffee a half hour after dinner.  This will boost your metabolism and also suppress your sweet tooth.  This is using coffee as a control substance, not as a treat. That means no sugar: artificial or regular), a DASH of milk or cream.
  1. Carbohydrates should be from root crops: Onions, Sweet Potatoes, Turnips, Ginger, Beets, Garlic, Radishes, Fennel, Carrots, Turmeric, Potatoes, Rutabaga.  And make up 30% of your diet
  2. . Nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pistachios, pecans, and cashews) should make up 10-15% of your diet.  Warning: peanuts are not nuts, they are legumes.

That’s it.  Everything you need to get control of your eating, raise your metabolic rte,, and shut down your sweet tooth.

Caveat: Never listen to a medical doctor regarding diet, nutrition.  Doctors have one course in  nutrition their entire careers.   Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil, Dr. Atkins South (beach diet) have no background to speak on the subject.  I have a PhD. in Naturopathic Medicine.  That does not qualify me to do brain surgery.
