If you look at the track record of our presidents, legislators, and military leaders, you will find a complete lack of success, events usually unfolding in the exact opposite direction from their grandiose plans.
1955 – The CIA sold President Eisenhower a story that communists were going to overrun Southeast Asia and that if we did not act the communists would be at our door. And when President Johnson questioned the war, the CIA staged the Gulf of Tonkin incident, while General Westmorland lied about the body count, forcing Johnson to escalate the war effort.
1961 – Bay of Pigs invasion to halt the spread of communism…by a country of banana farmers with weapons from the Second World War.
1962–75 – Laos: From October 1962 until 1975, the United States played an important role in military support of anti-Communist forces in Laos, which led to hundred of thousands dead.
1967-1980 – a dozen duly elected African leaders were assassinated or overthrown by CIA assets, leading to genocide, starvation, and evacuation of millions of people from their homes.
1981 – El Salvador: After a guerrilla offensive against the government of El Salvador, U.S. military advisers were sent to El Salvador to assist in training government forces in counterinsurgency. Two hundred thousand dead.
2006 – present – The NSA spied on foreign business to give US the edge. So, Brazil banded together with other South American companies to form their own internet.
2012 – US spied on Germany and other European Allies so they banned or restricted US technology company sales in those countries in retaliation.
US cut back on visas and green cards for foreign students. So, other countries invited them with open arms (Peru, et al) so the best minds and newest innovations now belong to foreign countries.
U.S. government fined foreign banks for dealing with countries who polices differed from those of America In response, those countries have now joined China in establishing a new “South east Asia World bank” to vie with the World Bank controlled by America.
The CIA killed dozens of duly elected African leaders and fomented coups de etad which led to ethic cleansing, genocides and decades of brutality and economic deprivation.
And now, the great military minds along with administration “experts” have decide that the best way to “handle” Russia is to force it into an untenable position, like Iran. However, unlike Iran, Russia has three-quarters of a million men on active duty along with over 15,500 tanks, 3,082 aircraft and 8,420 nuclear missles. It is building a massive new aircraft carrier and adding 12 new ballistic submarines.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said, “Other countries should not think they can attain military superiority over Russia. No one should have the illusion that they can gain military superiority over Russia, or put any kind of pressure on it. We will always have an adequate answer for any such adventures. Our soldiers and officers have proven that they are ready to act decisively smoothly, professionally and courageously, to perform the most difficult non-standard tasks, as befits a modern hardened combat-ready army that protects their traditions and military duty
The US and Europe and place serious restrictions on Russia. Along with the drop in oil revenues, sanctions cause the Russian economy imploded. At the exact moment Russia no longer has anything to lose. The U.S. and NATO began major war exercises on the Russian border.
Anyone who has listened to Vladimir Putin speak knows that he is not afraid to use nuclear weapons. This misreading of Russian and their leader by the Western media and the White House and our military brings us closer than ever to the brink of disaster.
The ramification of these sanctions has not been considered. If one asked, “What happens when you corner a badger that’s hungry and fighting for his life? What if Russia feels it has nothing to lose by invading the Baltic States, or ‘Stan” countries and taking over their natural resources and sell them to China or India?
Instead of isolating and alienating Russia, any sane government would propose a way out, an exit strategy, such as offering Russia entry to NATO and to the EU. Far fetched? Ridiculous? No, the irreversible will come when Russia is left with no choice but to grow by territorial expansion.
If you think the U.S. will see the risk it is taking in its foreign policy against Russia and step back from the brink, you‘d be wrong. Look back at every coup de etad where the U.S. backed the wrong man and it led to ethnic cleaning, genocide, every financial decision, like NAFTA, that led to a loss of jobs, all the spying which has led to a loss of business for U.S. companies, and the loss of allies, it makes perfect sense that our government will blow this one too. And, the consequences will be terrible for every one but…but the military industrial complex which will make billions maybe trillions, get to test their new toys while the military gets to train a need generation of officers for future conflicts which they will insure by their provoking of conflicts around the world.
And now, our brilliant, farsighted president and legislators have sanctioned Russia to the point that their economy is ready to implode and then conduct war exercises on their border. Russia, a country that already valued lives less than we did, is now a country with little to lose and a leader who has been forced into a corner…and much like a cornered badger, he will fight to the death. If our leaders think that Putin would never use the atomic bomb, they are deluded. The same delusion that led them to leave Russia with no other choice.
Putin and warned the West yet they have not listened. American and its leaders think that all world leaders think just like they do. It is a recipe for disaster.

My political commentary is meant to bring a heightened consciousness and real discussion to people intent on changing social, political, and economic conditions. Politics as usual is destroying our Democracy. Government corruption demands real political change, not just a new candidate in the old system. Political leadership only leads to self-serving agendas and self aggrandizement. Politicians eschew social causes for personal enrichment. Political power corrupt morality and rationality. The result is criminal behavior and Constitutional crimes.
