Why would American imprison, hold indefinitely and torture prisoners?

Sound insane.

Oh But it’s not. It is a very thought out, methodical plan.

You see, the government is not run by the president. It is run by the corporations that pay for the campaigns of the president and the legislators. We have just experienced the power and depravity of the Banksters.

The military / industrial complex is the other great pillar of our society. War is big business. How big? Well, the war in Afghanistan and Iraq cost over five trillion ($5,000,000,000,000). Not the one or one point five trillion our government told us.

Wait,” you say. Surely our government and our largest corporations would not sacrifice thousands of American lives…and millions of civilian living in abject poverty in foreign countries just for profit!!

Well, you would be wrong. They would do it and they do do it.

The bankers did it: took down their own companies, and almost took down America. Foreign and American people lost 44 trillion (not billion) dollars in wealth. Forty-four trillion. They didn’t care about the consequences and they are going to do it again. They have gutted the new regulations governing their businesses.

So, question: “How do you insure continuous wars?

Answer: “create enemies.”

Imprison people, torture them, release them. They will be come militants even if the were not before. Demonize countries: Russia is a prime example. China is not far behind. Remember “Star Wars?” The evil empire. George Bush: the axis of Evil. The government and the big corporate sponsors support the news media with their advertising. It is their agenda that is pushed forward. Drug War, War of Terror. Imminent threat. Instill fear in the American people until they cry,” Yes, protect us from the great evil.”

Do not deceive yourself. The American government and the largest corporations will and do sacrifice our soldiers in the quest for power and money.

The only way to stop this is to change the system. Get ride of political parties. But that’s another story for another article.

My political commentary is meant to bring a heightened consciousness and real discussion to people intent on changing social, political, and economic conditions. Politics as usual is destroying our Democracy. Government corruption demands real political change, not just a new candidate in the old system. Political leadership only leads to self-serving agendas and self aggrandizement. Politicians eschew social causes for personal enrichment. Political power corrupt morality and rationality. The result is criminal behavior and Constitutional crimes.
